1-Day Gua Sha Facial Therapy Course

All theory and practice are covered on the day, with no home study.

On this one-day course you will learn to give a complete professional Gua Sha facial: a calm, sculpting, lymph-draining treatment using a smooth stone tool, delivered from a holistic perspective that treats the whole person, not just the skin.

Who this course is for

The course is open to complete beginners and to qualified beauty and massage therapists. Beauty therapists will find it a natural add-on to an existing facial. Beginners are taught all the face and neck anatomy they need in Module 2.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course you will be able to:

1. Explain where Gua Sha comes from and how it fits into holistic practice.

2. Describe the bones, muscles, blood supply and lymphatic drainage of the face and neck.

3. Carry out a holistic consultation and identify contraindications and cautions.

4. Choose, clean and store Gua Sha tools safely.

5. Use the correct angle, pressure and direction for each stroke.

6. Deliver a full Gua Sha facial of about 45 minutes.

7. Give clear aftercare and teach clients a short home routine.
